Many people ask us where they can take old computers for recycling.  We’ve searched, and recommend the following locations in the Des Moines area:

Goodwill Industries of Central Iowa

Goodwill and Dell offer free computer recycling to Central Iowans!  There is no charge for dropping off a computer at Goodwill.  Any brand of used computer equipment is accepted.  Customers may be able to deduct the value of the computer for tax purposes. Goodwill will provide donors with a donation receipt at the time of donation. Customers are encouraged to check with their tax advisers for more information.
